Get artsy with Concept Artist Bilal and explore their key ingredients that support a healthy development process.
Through a series of interesting interview questions both inside and outside of gaming, the Devs at Dynasty articles give our fans a unique look into individuals working at Dynasty Studios.
What is your role at Dynasty Studios?
I am a Concept Artist focusing mostly on environment, architecture, and illustration. Generally, I work with the Creative Director, the Art director, other concept artists and, if needed, 3D artists.
My main responsibility is to come up with a vision and design ideas for the overall game visuals.
What do you like best about working at Dynasty Studios?
I have been working as a Concept Artist in gaming for about 3 and a half years, and during this time, both my colleagues and the work environment helped me gain a lot of experience. That’s what I like the most about working at Dynasty Studios: working in an environment where people can freely exchange ideas with each other and do it in a supportive and instructive way.
What do you think sets Dynasty Studios apart from other game companies?
I think the most important feature of this company – right now – is excitement. It’s important for people to be very excited about the work they’re on. Thus, the curiosity and excitement of introducing a new product can trigger development.
What is the first game you recommend to others?
I can recommend GRIS. I think GRIS has excellent features in terms of art direction, music, and especially storytelling without any dialogue. The game has very deep and emotional connections within it, which can even make you cry.
Also, if anyone out there wants a good cry, I can recommend Sekiro which is very “EASY”!
What is your favorite dessert?
I love all kinds of milky desserts, keşkül, kazandibi and even though it has an interesting name, spinach cake. Even if I am imprisoned in a cave, if I have milky desserts, I can live a long time without complaining, and that cave would turn into a heaven for me.
What other interests would you like to pursue if you had to work outside of gaming?
I would probably try being an architect or an archaeologist. In fact, I can say that the main reason why I say these two jobs is because I love ancient architectural structures, especially amphitheaters. It would be nice to explore/research such structures or to design new ones 🙂

Ashtrays make me very uncomfortable. Also, I can never eat anything if I’m around one. I know it isn’t something to like, but to me, it’s literally like a kryptonite.
