See how Associate Producer Ella Hellberg helps the Dynasty team accomplish what’s ahead
Through a series of interesting interview questions both inside and outside of gaming, the Devs at Dynasty articles give our fans a unique look into individuals working at Dynasty Studios.
What is your role at Dynasty Studios?
I am one of the Associate Producers at Dynasty Studios and am the middle-person between the different departments. I assist and coordinate with the Lead Producer in managing the project and the overall production process. I support and facilitate the development team, ensuring that they have everything they need to achieve their goals.
What do you like best about working at Dynasty Studios?
First and foremost, the people. Everyone is so polite, kind, and talented. Nothing is more motivating than being genuinely excited about and proud of what your coworkers are producing and I can’t wait for the rest of the world to see it.
Secondly, I think our project is super interesting as we’re working in a groundbreaking space in gaming. We have the ability and opportunity to make something really unique, fun, and fair. Now to me, that’s exciting!
What do you think sets Dynasty Studios apart from other game companies?
I’d have to say the culture. Not only are we forward-thinking and innovative with our products in development, but it’s also how we collaborate in our flat company structure. Everyone from all parts of the company is encouraged to express their opinions and share their feedback, and while there is some basic hierarchy, you wouldn’t be able to tell socially. During lunch and after work, we’re all just one big group of co-workers and friends.
What is the first game you remember playing?
I can’t remember exactly which one was the first one but one that had a huge impact on me early on was Hercules on PC. The music, the visuals, the mechanics – ten out of ten for sure. And you can still get it on Steam today!
What’s the first game you recommend to anyone/friends and why?
Undertale. The story and the characters are amazing, so much so that you don’t even need to be into games to enjoy it. It’s a masterpiece.
What’s your favorite Pokémon?
Snorlax. How could you not love Snorlax? It’s cute and all it does is sleep and eat all day!
