What is your role at Dynasty Studios?
My role at Dynasty Studios is a Technical Designer. I typically work closely with the other designers as well as the programmers; I help to design and implement systems and list what technical requirements they have.
What do you like best about working at Dynasty Studios?
I like that everyone is encouraged to work on the features that they find interesting. I think this helps to make the game better since people are more likely to stay passionate about the game.
What do you think sets Dynasty Studios apart from other game companies?
Since I haven’t worked for other game companies, I can’t say for sure. But I think a big plus is that everyone is allowed to have opinions about the direction of the project and the features that are being implemented. Even if we have ownership of the features we work on and we can have the final say, everyone is still allowed to voice concerns or ideas for improvements.
What is your favorite video game?
I have several, depending on genre and mood. But my overall favorite is Dishonored 1. I’ve played through that game multiple times, each with different self-made challenges and variations.
What is the first game you remember playing?
I don’t remember the first game I played. I imagine it could be Tetris, but one of the games that I played a lot when I was young, which is still close to my heart, is Dungeon Keeper 1 and 2. I’m always on the lookout for good games with a villain protagonist.
What is your D&D alignment?
In real life, or what my characters typically are? I tend to prefer to play Lawful or Neutral Evil characters, I enjoy being the evil lackey. In reality, I imagine myself as Neutral Good. I hope I am anyway… 😛
